| Changing the Input Device, Input Source, and Recording Quality |
| Before recording audio into CD Spin Doctor, you may want to change which input device and input source you want to record from, and the quality of the recording. |
| CD Spin Doctor will preserve the settings from the last recording. |
| To change these settings: |
| 1 | Make sure you have created a new recording session (but that you have not begun importing yet), and that the Recording sheet is displayed. |
| | Note: | The recording status should read "Ready to Record." |
| 2 | In the Recording sheet, display the Input Settings portion. |
|
| 3 | From the Input Device pop-up menu, select the audio input device that the audio source is plugged into. |
| 4 | From the Input Source pop-up menu, select the jack on the audio input device that the audio source is plugged into. |
| 5 | From the Recording Quality pop-up menu, choose the quality you want for the resulting audio file. The quality shown matches what the selected input device supports: |
| | Voice Quality: Choose if you are recording from a microphone. |
| | CD Quality: Choose if you plan to make an audio CD. |
| | DVD Quality: Choose for DVD quality, better than CD quality. |
| | DVD High Quality: Choose for DVD high quality, better than DVD Quality. |
| | Note: | File size goes up with increased quality. Choose a quality that best fits the file size you want. |
